The Payza payment platform launched to the world in May 2012, exactly one year ago. What a year it’s been! Since then, we’ve empowered our millions of members across the globe to take their rightful places in the online financial world, regardless of their financial credentials. We’ve helped build bridges between developed and developing nations, making e-commerce possible in many underserved markets.
During our first 12 months of operation, we’ve expanded across the globe, provided access to online financial services in marketplaces that previously had none, earned several awards and nominations for our progress and ambition, and became a key player in the payment industry recognized around the world.
There have been some bumps along the road, but we’re not going to stop until we can provide the best solution for your e-commerce needs. We’ve had to rebuild some of our features from the ground up and we’re hard at work to bring you a new, better prepaid program. We also expect to offer more services to more of our customers in all parts of the world this year. This means that by the end of our second year, more of our members will have access to low-cost money transfer services.
The newly redesigned Payza Blog is the first of many improvements. The blog is here to help you find the answers to your questions about Payza and the e-commerce industry, and to encourage the community to weigh in and offer their thoughts and feedback directly to us.
As part of our continuing effort to bridge the gap between developed and developing marketplaces, we became the first online payment platform to operate in Bangladesh, allowing Bangladeshis to finally take part in the global e-commerce industry. Our contribution to the Bangladeshi economy didn’t stop there either – in November we launched SimplySendBD, a dedicated remittance platform for Bangladeshis and a pilot program for future “SimplySend” services around the world. The SimplySend platform, and SimplySendBD specifically, allows Bangladeshi ex-patriots to send money back home to friends and family at a lower cost than any other remittance platform.
Expanding SimplySend is just one of our goals moving forward into this evolving and increasingly connected financial world. We are slowly but surely developing into the all-in-one solution to your online financial needs.
