Vice President of Strategy Discusses Leveraging Digital Wallets in Co-Panel
Mohammad Hashemi, Payza’s Vice President of Strategy, is in Orlando, Florida to attend the CNP Expo, a forum which brings online retailers together with e-commerce industry experts. Hashemi has been invited to join Ken Moy, Vice President of Innovation and Planning at MasterCard International, in a panel on Thursday, May 23rd, to discuss the best ways for merchants to employ digital wallet technology online and at the Point-Of-Sale to benefit both customers and the bottom line.
CNP Expo 2013 is an exclusive 4-day event hosted by CardNotPresent.com, an independent news source for the card-not-present industry. Representatives from some of the leading payments companies and the hottest start-ups in the e-commerce technology space, as well as the major online retailers, attend the event to discuss the changing digital landscape and identify the solutions to the challenges of the card-not-present industries.
Thursday’s panel, “The Digital Evolution: Leveraging Digital Wallets” moderated by Chris Arnette of First Data, will address the trends, innovations and challenges in the digital wallet space. Moy and Hashemi will discuss past and present initiatives, identify successful and unsuccessfully strategies, and share what they believe is needed to ensure the continued growth of the sector, in front of an audience of industry peers.
“The demand for e-wallet and m-wallet technologies at the point-of-sale has created both a new set of security concerns and a good opportunity for merchants and financial services to work together to meet this challenge,” said Hashemi. “The real challenge of successfully incorporating digital wallet technology into a business is to identify the need that the technology can fulfill.”
The Digital Evolution: Leveraging Digital Wallets will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 11:00 am, at the Omni Orlando Resort Hotel, 1500 Masters Blvd, ChampionsGate, Florida.
